An open class on “Internet Safety” initiated by Gayane Hovsepyan, a teacher of Informatics at Pedagogical University’s Secondary School N57 after Vahan Totovents, was held on

February 28. The participants of the event focused on a number of Internet-related issues, including the positive and negative aspects of the Internet, “golden rules” of Internet security and effective website navigation, level of awareness, etc.
Pupils from 6th to 9th grades cited numerous examples to present the role of the Internet in the life of each person, exposing the positive and negative effects of the Internet.
“During the lessons of Informatics, children work on computers which are connected to the Internet but I control the entire process and help them acquire adequate computer knowledge and skills,” said Gayane Hovsepyan.
Participating in the open class were also ASPU interns who shared their opinion on secure and limited access to the Internet and the prospects of its rational application in the professional work.
