Armenian State Pedagogical University today hosted presentation of books dedicated to DRR (Disaster Risk Reduction). The event was attended by Ara Yeremyan, ASPU Vice-Rector

for Personnel and International Cooperation, representatives of the University’s structural units, members of the expertise and research team.
The University also hosted Tigran Tovmasyan, DRR Programme Officer at UNICEF Armenia, and programme assistant Seda Kalantaryan who presented the meeting participants the results of the programme and importance of DRR.
Tigran Tovmasyan focused on the results of the programme, as well as the proposals and recommendations of the expert team.
He highlighted the introduction of the team’s recommendations in the University’s curriculum and the continuity of the programme.
In April-October, 2013, the Pedagogical University in cooperation with the UN Office in Armenia implemented the programme “DRR Study in Preschools and Schools: Incorporation of DRR Concepts and Principle in the ASPU Curriculum.”
The programme proved to be effective and successful.
