“It is difficult to call you graduates, my dear students!”
12.03.2014
Sixty-one masters of the Faculty of Special Education today were granted graduate diplomas, with 21 of them receiving Diplomas with Honours.

The graduates were congratulated by ASPU Vice-Rectors Srbouhi Gevorgyan, Mher Melik-Bakhshyan, Chairman of the Qualifying Examination Committee [of the Faculty] Armen Melik-Pashayan, Dean Armine Avagyan, and Head of the Department of Logopaedics and Rehabilitation Therapy Janna Paylozyan.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Srbouhi Gevorgyan congratulated the students on the occasion of graduation and Women’s Month in Armenia and wished that the day left its unique track in the imagination and memory of each graduate as a precept given by people who have made great contributions to the field of their study.

Vice-Rector Mher Melik-Bakhshyan joined the congratulations of his colleagues and urged the graduates to stay in touch with the University and to be proud to bear the educator’s title.
“You are entering a new phase of life where carefree and happy days of student life will be replaced by new responsibilities. Love your children and your profession and observe the best traditions of your University!” said Armen Melik-Pashayan. He advised the graduates to do their best to exceed their teachers and lecturers in their professional activities.

Dean Armine Avagyan also joined the congratulations but she found it difficult to call them ‘graduates’ and addressed the group by saying, “Dear students, your choice of future profession already characterizes your human type. Each of you has a grain, an earnest desire to help and support others. You should feel a great responsibility in our growing industry as you will have to shoulder the hopes of parents whose children need your help,” she said.

Armine Avagyan assured the attendees that the labour market will discover the special educators, thereby justifying the University’s pride and hopes in its alumni.
It is due to mention that the overachievers were also awarded with professional books.
