within the framework of the programme “Pages of History and Culture” initiated by the Public Council of the RA Ministry of the Defense.
In their lectures delivered at the military units, Hakob Tadevosyan, Associate Professor of the Department of Professional Education and Applied Pedagogy, Candidate of Pedagogical Science, Volodya Gasparyan, Candidate of Pedagogical Science, Degree Seeker Vahe Movsisyan, Samvel Poghosyan and Armen Asryan, Associate Professors at the Department of Armenian History, focused on the activities of Paruyr Sevak, William Saroyan and Aram Manukyan, and emphasized the role of the Armenian Legion in Palestine and the importance of military service.
The audience also watched videos telling about the life and creative activity of Paruyr Sevak and William Saroyan. The lectures were followed by a question-and-answer session.
“The visits, meetings and lectures of ASPU representatives at the military units have become traditional. This visit aimed at familiarizing soldiers with the history and cultural heritage of Armenia was exceptional: our studies revealed that young people need ideals, inspiration, imitation of national characters and heroes which became the basis for the selection of the lecture topic,” Hakob Tadevosyan told old.aspu.am.
