18.03.2014
The Department of International Cooperation of Armenian State Pedagogical University recently organized an informative seminar devoted to the scholarships and grants offered by

the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The seminar was conducted by Tine Laufer, Head of the DAAD Information Centre in Yerevan, who presented DAAD scholarship programmes and application deadlines. Senior Programme Advisor Mary Navasardyan answered the questions of participants.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the ASPU teaching staff and over 100 students, as well as one of the DAAD scholarship holders, who has recently completed a course in Germany. The latter spoke about her impressions, the opportunities created by the scholarship programme and employment prospects.

The DAAD is Germany's largest scholarship-awarding organization and runs several programmes to support academic exchange between Germany and all parts of the world. DAAD programmes range from short-term exchanges for research or teaching purposes to summer course grants and doctoral scholarships. Support is also available for young academics and scientists, university lecturers and members of administrative staff.

The Department of International Cooperation will continue the seminar series in the near future.
