KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Today, the freshmen of the Pedagogical University Faculty of Special Education, Department of Special Psychology visited the Medical Centre “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” within

 the framework of the course “First Medical Aid”.

 

 

The Head of the Department of First Medical Aid, Emergency Situations and Civil Protection Mr. Hakob Grigoryan aimed to practically strengthen the theoretical knowledge of students, and to help them to demonstrate the necessary medical aid in different situations. 

 

 

During the visit the lecturer of the Department of Emergency and Disaster Medicine of the State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi, Doctor- Cardiologist Anoushavan Virabyan introduced the students with the first medical aid issues, demonstration principles and personal safety preservation rules. 

 

 

In addition, the Doctor-Cardiologist thoroughly presented the primary and secondary examinations of victims, the reasons of fainting and death, characteristic features and testing methods of the level consciousness.

 

 

Moreover, heart massage, the ways of revitalization in case of breathing or heart stops were displayed on the specials demonstration plaster casts; thus, the students applied their medical treatment skills on the plastic casts right on the spot.

 

 

And last but not least, during the meeting Mr. Anoushavan Virabyan also replied to the students’ questions.
