The eight-year old Anna Guyumjyan has been living in Armenia for already two years; she came from Syria and is now studying at the Pedagogical University Secondary School

Anna is a member of the painting club at the school; you may get familiar with other students’ and her works at the exhibition “Drawings of our Children” that has opened today.
Anna has been drawing since she was 1 y.o. and even though, she is more addicted to drawing portraits, at the exhibition she preferred to demonstrate her works named “the Greedy Mouse”, “the Sun and the Snowman”.
Likewise, the author of a number of paintings, student Karine Sedrakyan, also the author of the “Sea boat”, prefers to make reprints. The young artist confesses that the painting club helped her to change the painting colours by adding blue and green to the girlish pink.
What is more, the Head of the Painting club at the Secondary School N57 after Vahan Totovents is the MA student of the Pedagogical University Faculty of Art Education Mr. Nairi Balabekyan; the latter is also combining his work by holding the position of teacher of painting at the School N57.
In his turn, Nairi notices that the exhibition was a special kind of report that served as a proof that the children were integrated in creative life.
“Each displayed piece manifests the character of the child; their paintings contain the game of colours and shades, where bright and warm colours prevail. The diversity of topics, the perception of colours and the manner of implementation urge us to believe that some of them will become eminent artists in future”.
As a matter of fact, a selected collection of 60 pieces by 25 students of the paining club that has been open since September last year, were presented at the exhibition.
