“Adults usually claim that [Armenian writer] KhachaturAbovian left home and disappeared. In fact, he is at the Pedagogical University,” said the children of Kindergarten No. 5 in
Yerevan who were confused to see the three-dimensional image of the writer at the University Museum.
Today the Museum hosted its youngest visitors. The guests walked around the Museum and got acquainted with the items showcased in its exhibit hall. For a long time, the group stood in front of the photos of notable alumni and recalled the works of the famous writerswith the help of their educator.
For the first time, the guests shared their opinions and impressions in the Museum’s memory book through pictures that conveyed what the children had seen and heard at the University.
The visit was arranged by Svetlana Marutyuan, Head of the Department of Preschool Pedagogy and Methodology of the Faculty of Primary Education. She says the visit will be effective in the sense that it will promote national education.
“Children aged 5-6 get acquainted with the works of different writers, including those of KhachaturAbovian, already in kindergartens,” she said adding that they are waiting for the children’s reaction in order to invite another group of preschool children to the Museum.
