ASPU Rector meets students ahead of final certification exams

Traditional meetings between graduating students of Armenian State Pedagogical University and Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan kicked off at the University on April 9. The aim of the meetings is to reveal students’ concerns on the threshold of final certification exams.

Mr Mirzakhanyan considered the meeting to be a practical step and a good opportunity to discuss the entire process of the upcoming exams, starting from the moment of stepping into the examination hall to the appealing of examination results. 
 
The Rector stressed the presence of students in practical consultations, the availability of professional literature in the examination room and its correct and proper use by students. Mr Mirzakhanyan assured the students that all possible conditions had been created to ensure transparency and impartiality of the exams. 
 
Speaking about the defense of Master’s theses, the Rector first drew parallels between that level of education in Armenia and abroad, then assured the presentees that the authors of best theses that have scientific value will not only be encouraged with high grades, but will also be employed at the University.  
 
Students of the Faculties of Culture, Biology, Chemistry and Geography, Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, asked the Rector different questions concerning the arrangement and conduct of the exams and made their proposals.
 
The Rector promised to organize further discussions on them.
