European Recognition Manual for Higher Education Institutions already available
09.04.2014
The European Recognition Manual for Higher Education Institutions (EAR HEI), funded by the European Commission’s Lifelong Learning programme, is already available.

This manual is designed to assist and enable credential evaluators and admissions officers in higher education institutions to practise fair recognition according to the principles of the Lisbon Recognition Convention – the regulatory framework for international academic recognition in the European region.

The scope of this manual is thus mainly on recognition for the purpose of obtaining access to higher education (academic recognition).

In 2004, Armenia ratified the Lisbon Recognition Convention, officially the Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region, which makes academic degree standards and quality assurance standards more comparable and compatible throughout Europe.

The Lisbon Recognition Convention has been ratified by 47 member states of the Council of Europe, including Armenia, Australia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Vatican, Israel, New Zealand and Tajikistan.

The English version of the manual is available here.
