ASPU Professor becomes winner in “Defender of Native Wildlife” category

Ms Karine Danielyan, Head of the Department of Ecology and Sustainable Development of Armenian State Pedagogical University, an expert of the UN environment programmes, Doctor of Geographical Sciences and Professor, Chairperson of “For Sustainable Human Development” NGO became one of the winners of “Colours of Love and Beauty” award-giving ceremony held within the Hayuhi 2014 event organized by the National Trust Council at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan.

The ceremony was organized on the occasion of Women’s Month in Armenia.Karine Danielyan became winner in the category “Defender of Native Wildlife.” Overall, there were 19 categories.

 

 

Talking to old.aspu.am, Ms Karine Danielyan emphasized that people should be kind and fair to one another and Nature. “We must regain the spiritual flight that we had in 1988 and keep the small piece of land that we have today.

 

Our nation has an important mission – to introduce morality and justice into politics. If we achieve the international recognition of the 1915 Armenian Genocide, it will mark the beginning of the process,” she said.

 

 

Karine Danielyan regretted to say that the Earth seems to be driving out human beings; unusual natural anomalies provide evidence to support this belief. “That is the response of the planet and universe to the immoral behaviour of people, and, if the environment does not become the foundation of human development, the losses will be even greater,” she stressed.

 

Professor Danielyan also said that the training tutorial “Theory and Practice of Sustainable Development: Global Processes and Armenia” has been published at the initiative of the UN, Armenian State Pedagogical University and “For Sustainable Human Development” NGO.
