
Recently, N42 High School in Yerevan hosted the meeting of representatives of the Pupil Council and Student Council of Armenian State Pedagogical University. Participating in the meeting were also the chairs of the Councils – Mary Hambardzumyan and Nersik Margaryan, respectively. Second-year students of the University taking a full-time course in the Faculty of History and Jurisprudence, as well as fifth-year students of the University taking a part-time course are undergoing teaching practice in this school.
The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the SC of the Faculty of Art Education Nairi Balabekyan and high school leavers Michael Babayan and Astghik Hakobyan, who are now members of the ASPU Student Council.
The Chairman of the ASPU Student Council, Nersik Margaryan, informed pupils about the process of internalisation of the Pedagogical University, as well as the University’s consistent policy to organise practices that will further promote students’ professional qualifications.

Nersik Margaryan also shared his experience with the members of the Pupil Council and presented the most important tasks and functions of the ASPU Student Council in arranging students’ daily routine. He also suggested organising joint events and expressed his readiness and willingness to assist the Pupil Council in implementing various initiatives.
Head of the practice Aida Kotsinyan briefed the Chairman of the ASPU Student Council on the process of practice at School N42, telling about the warm and friendly reception and favourable working conditions. She also expressed her gratitude to the school staff in the person of Principal Eleonora Tumanyan for the close cooperation and support.
The students presented the SC Chairman their personal learning folders and said they were going to donate the collection of Russian and Armenian classical authors compiled during the practice to the school library. The students also invited the pupils of N42 to visit ASPU museum and library.
