
7 May, on the World Radio Day, the Pedagogical University marked the official launching of the ASPU Radio- the “First University Radio Fama”.
The ceremony took place in the university’s hall fully crowded with the guests including the ASPU teaching staff and students from other universities.
The term “Fama” unfamiliar for many, became clear during the presentation of the website accompanied by a concert. Right on the stage the Pedagogical students explained that Fama is the Goddess in the Greco-Romanic pantheon that “can see and hear everything” assuring that the “First University Radio” will be fulfilling the same functions.

On this occasion, pop and rock stars such as Sona Shahgeldyan, Sona Roubenyan, The Beautified Project and other famous singers from various TV projects also congratulated the Pedagogical University on its new achievement.
“News”, “How to listen”, “Broadcasts”, “Programs”, “Fresh”, “Soon on the Radio”, “About Us” where the visitors of the website will be introduced with issues relating to the University and the educational system, as well as learn the latest news and various other questions that are of interest for the youth.
What is more, the first university radio will also implement a non-less important function serving as a platform for the students of the faculty of TV and Radio journalism, therewith contributing to their practical knowledge.
In addition, future journalists are already preparing programs, reportages, participating in editing and arrangement work.
In his turn the ASPU Head of the Department of TV and Radio Journalism Mr. Levon Galstyan also congratulated the Radio “Fama” on its launching mentioning that it eliminated the well-known technological legend that the Internet will swallow everything including the Radio.

And last but not least, Levon Galstyan expressed his hope that in a short while the radio will get its final form and will bring together students and lecturers fostering the birth of the University’s television.
