
Recently, students of the Faculty of History and Jurisprudence of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU), participated in a roundtable discussion on “Environment and Safety” organised by the Information Resource Centre (IRC) of the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan.
The participants were welcomed by Mr. Clark Price, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy. Later on, famous specialists of the sector from Armenia and abroad expressed their opinions on the problems and challenges of sphere.
The roundtable discussion focused on a number of important issues, including waste management, its recycling, handling and reuse, decline in water resources, global warming, etc.

The specialists focused on interesting activities and campaigns aimed at making environment more eco-friendly, and their success in Armenia. “The topic of today’s discussion is very important and urgent.
Similar meetings, especially with representatives of younger generation, will contribute to the protection of the environment and its resources.
We are glad that the participants were able to communicate in English, which made the discussion even more effective,” said Mr. Clark Price.
