The Pedagogical Students Paid a Visit to the Orphan Asylum
12.04.2012
The 3rd year students of the Department of Geography of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography, under the supervision of the Faculty Assistant Varduhi Hovhannisyan, paid

a visit to the Orphan Asylum after M. Izmiryan on the Easter Day.

This visit was a made on a joint initiative arranged with the Yerevan School 67 after Yeghishe Charents.

The students had prepared a surprise for the orphanage children; together with the pupils of the School after Charents, they presented the “Easter Holiday” performance.
Happily, the visit received a warm welcome from the children; what is more, the young servants of the Armenian Apostolic Church were also present. They blessed the orphanage children urging them to keep bright the sacraments of kindness, light and love.

“It’s already the second year that we’ve been undertaking such visits. This year too, we decided to combine the pedagogical Practice with a visit to an orphan asylum. This asylum hosts children with special needs as well, and it is very meaningful for future pedagogues to communicate with them. It will give them a chance to gain some experience and later to practice it during the lessons,” Varduhi Hovhannisyan said in her conversation with us.

Upon the end of the visit the organizers gave the orphanage children small souvenirs.

We are glad to mention that such visits are of continuous nature for the students of the Pedagogical University.
