“God bless the moment when I stepped into the Pedagogical University”, Levon Kojoyan, the Professor at the Department of Fine Arts stated at the Rector’s Session today.
On this occasion, the ASPU Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan invited the former lecturers of the University, veterans of the War Tsolak Simonyan, Roza Pashinyan and Souren Zorabyan, together with the professor.
The Rector expressed his acknowledgements to the veterans in the names of the lecturers and students and awarded diplomas on the triple May holidays emphasizing that on the example of the courage and numerous manifestations of their heroic posture the students of the ASPU, future pedagogues, are educated today, who will further pursue the mission of educating future generations. Besides, Mr. Rouben Mirzakhanyan wished good health, welfare and dignified senility for triumphant veterans of the War.
Levon Kojoyan in his turn remembered episodes from the War; “The great celebration of the victory and the defense of the multi-nation country brought me huge happiness as it made possible to bring back the spring, youth and life.
Afterwards, the graduate of the Pedagogical University Mr. Tsolak Simonyan, who lectured at the University for around 36 years, hurried to add to the words of his fellow comrade and noticed that there is no such term as “our victory”, there is the overall victory of an entire nation.
I was lucky enough to give lectures at various leading universities of the world but it was only after lecturing at the Pedagogical University that I discovered the best staff and the best university for myself”, mentioned one of the founders of Neurosurgery, Doctor -Professor of Medicine, lecturer of the Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology Souren Zorabyan.
In reply to the Professor, Rouben Mirzakhanyan highlighted the explicit admiration of lecturers and students about the lectures delivered by the Professor which are actually presented using the latest IT tools.
In addition, Rouben Mirzakhanyan expressed his acknowledgments referring to Zakhar Khachatryan- the Professor of the Department of Fine Arts of the Faculty of Art Education, the veteran of the War, the knight of military insignia.
And last but not least, the ASPU Rector spoke about replenishing the staff with more elderly lecturers and mentioned that in such cases the person’s experience, scientific achievements, and skills are the most important factors; in such cases individual approach is demonstrated and everything is done for students who, in their turn, highly praise it.
