“All efforts are made to get rid of tension at the examination room”
14.05.2014

The Rector of the Pedagogical University Mr. Rouben Mirzakhanyan continues the already traditional meetings with students; on this occasion, the graduate examinations in distant learning system formed the core subject of the meeting.

“What to do?”, “How to prepare for the examinations?” And “Which Methods should be avoided?”- the ASPU Rector discussed the whole examination process starting from the preparation stage to presenting proper knowledge.

In fact, Rouben Mirzakhanyan observed that after graduating from the university another issue should be solved- that is the question employment. In this regard, the first question during the meetings with employers is the name of the educational institution the applicant graduated from.

“Despite the numerous changes realized at the University as well as the improvement of its prestige, still the answer creates disagreements”.

As a matter of fact, the Rector hurried to clarify that the reason for that is the examination process and the idea that distant-learning students of the Pedagogical University are graduating not with their knowledge, but using various alternative measures.

“When being assessed, forget the idea of turning to relatives or using supportive financial means; too much has been and is still being done to raise the prestige of the University making it one of the best. I am assuring you that my colleagues and I are doing everything to facilitate the examination process to the extent possible and to organize it for the advantage of students. Those who tried to hinder this initiative, were expelled from the list of our partners”

In addition, during his discussion with the students Mr. Rouben Mirzakhanyan also highlighted the consultations and the opportunity to use the assisting academic material available at the examination rooms, adding that all efforts are made to get rid of tension at the examination room and to create positive environment”.

Furthermore, during the meeting the ASPU Rector also spoke about the reforms realized in the recent years and mentioned about their planned activities. Besides, he answered a number of questions that interested the students referring to distant learning MA courses, qualification amendments, the tuition fees, the discounts system, targeted education and internships.

To sum up the Rector wished the students successful graduate examinations and urged them to combine education with employment.
