An amateur choir comprised of first-year students of the Faculty of Primary Education majoring in Pedagogy and Methodology (Preschool Education) today performed a concert presenting the teaching staff of the Faculty and guests the results of the one-year activities.
During the concert, the students performed the works of Komitas, Sayat Nova, Khachatur Avetisyan, Alexsey Hekimyan, Robert Petrosyan, as well as popular children's songs.
At the end of each academic year, the conductor of the choir Vachagan Navasardyan, Associate Professor at the Department of Preschool Pedagogy and Methodology, organizes an accounting concert with the participation of freshmen. He has been working at the Pedagogical University for 15 years.
Talking to old.aspu.am, Vachagan Navasardyan said irrespective of their musical skills and auditory perception students wishing to become educators manage to absorb the material. He regrets to say that only problem that prevents students from achieving a professional level is the shortage of classes.
Svetlana Marutyan, Head of the Department of Preschool Pedagogy and Methodology, said the concert was a success and the results of the one-year work were noticeable: the concert turned into a real celebration.
Hasmik Sargsyan, Associate Professor of the same Department, added in her turn that regardless of their genetic data, each teacher is obliged to master the specifics of vocal technique - it is extremely important for the successful activities of pre-school and elementary school teachers.
