27.05.2014

Vagharshak Matikyan, a postgraduate student of the Department of World History and its Teaching Methods, Faculty of History and Jurisprudence, ASPU, participated in an international school programme “Philosophy of Russian History” held in Belgorod city from May 19 to 24.

The programmeorganised by the Belgorod State University and Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation already for the second timehad brought together over 30 representatives from Slavic countries.

VagharshakMatikyan learnt about the programme from the announcement posted on the ASPU website. Though he applied for the programme ten days later than the announced deadline, his report on “Some Issues of Philosophy of Konstantin Leontiev'sHistory” was so interesting that the organisers did not refuse him.

Every day, the participants of the programmeheard two lectures on philosophy, philology and history delivered by doctors and professors. These were followed by roundtable discussions and screening of documentaries and thematic films.

The postgraduate student enumerated the issues included in the agenda of the five-day event and said happily that the collection “The Philosophy of Russian History” which includes his report is already available.
