ASPU representatives visit Sardarapat Memorial

On the occasion of First Republic Day[marked in Armenia May 28], students of the Faculty of History and Jurisprudenceled by Chairman of the Student Council NersikMargaryan visited the Sardarapat Memorialwhere they joined in traditional celebrations with patriotic songs and dances.

 

“The first Republic of Armenia was established at difficult times for the Armenian people, and although it had a short life- about two and a half years- its role and significance in the restoration and strengthening of the present-day statehood is invaluable,” SC Chairman NarekMargaryan said in conversation with old.aspu.am. In the name of ASPU studentshe also assured us that victories inspire and unite young people.

 

In his turn, TigranKhachatryan, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of History and Jurisprudence, added that the May celebrations instill strength and energy in Armenians in order to adequately respond to future challenges. “Each student, regardless of his or her specialty, should realize the significance of the May victory. When we visit the Sardarapat Memorial we feel the breath of the battle even stronger and are more encouraged to fight back against harassment in the protection of our country.”
