Presentation of educational and academic manuals to be held at ASPU

The presentation of a training tutorial “Theory and Practice of Sustainable Development: Global Processes and Armenia” will be held at the Humanities Reading Hall of the ASPU Museum at 3.00 pm, June 17. The publication of the manual which is intended for the institutions of higher education has been approved by the Academic Council of the University. 

 

The authors of the manual are Karine Danielyan, Head of the Department of Ecology and Sustainable Development, ASPU, Doctor of Geographical Sciences and Professor, Lilit Sargsyan, lecturer of Yerevan State University, and Tigran Sargsyan, lecturer and Candidate of Geographical Sciences.

 

The critics are Hayk Sargsyan, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Gagik Torosyan, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, and Hovik Sayadyan, Doctor of Geographical Sciences.

 

The compilation and publication of the manual was made possible with the support of the UN Office in Armenia. 

 

The UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014) is coming to an end, with countries summarizing the results of implemented work and developing plans for future activities. In 2012, Rio+20, United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which called on countries to go ahead, continue and expand ongoing activities. 

 

Within the framework of the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development, the Department of Ecology and Sustainable Development opened at the ASPU, which familiarizes the University students with principles of sustainable development.

 

On the same day, the presentation of the collection of articles presented during the conference “Modernization of Education in the Context of Modern Pedagogical Paradigms will be held at the University. The presentation is initiated by the Department of Theory and History of Pedagogy.

 

Besides covering the problems of modern education, the articles and reports included in the article also offer methods and ways for their solution.  

 

The collection consists of two parts. The first part includes Russian-language articles of educators from seven countries – Armenia, Italy, Russian, US, Japan, Slovakia and Ukraine. The second part includes articles of lecturers, postgraduate students and degree seekers from different universities in Armenia.
