18.06.2014

Candidate of Pedagogy, Associate Professor Babken Nersisyan is a graduate of the Pedagogical University. He graduated from the University in 1983 and undertook pedagogical activities at secondary school N2 in the town of Masis, in Ararat region.

Since 2002, he has been teaching at the ASPU. The lecturer of the Faculty of Primary Education, Department of Mathematics and Elementary Teaching Methods received the title of the RA Honoured Teacher by the RA President’s decree on the Republic holiday.

Babken Nersisyan considers it natural to appreciate on a state level the 31 years’ merit in teaching and educating younger generation.

The author of around 28 scientific articles, text-books, slaid installed with new technologies, test-booklets, and other scientific –educational manuals, who was announced the “teacher of the Year” in 1997, and received a number of awards and prizes, modestly noticed that receiving titles is of course encouraging, but also demanding.

Furthermore, referring to the main differences between lecturer-teacher terms, Babken Nersisyan mentioned that they teach to teach at universities, while at schools- they teach; a teacher’s task is much more complicated..

In addition, speaking about the current generation and their professional orientation the APSU lecturer highlighted that the new generation is not demonstrating a regress; vice verse, it is quite progressive, and natural –mathematical sciences continue remaining in demand, especially among the young people living in regions.

“My working tools are the chalk and the blackboard; in auditoriums I speak in the language of chalk,” Babken Nersisyan mentioned in his speech to the armspu.am and with great enthusiasm promised to serve the RA President’s award for the future generations.
