KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

A conference involving postgraduate students and degree seekers was organized at Armenian State Pedagogical University at the initiative of the Department of Professional Education and Applied Pedagogy of. 

“It is important to shape a future scientist before he or she becomes a scientist,” said Professor Aida Topuzyan, Head of the Department of Professional Education and Applied Pedagogy. She underlined that similar initiativesand scientific discussions help shape the personal and professional qualities of future scientists, their thinking, improve their oral and written speech and enrich their vocabulary of scientific and technical words, terms, formulas, and symbols. 

The professor underlined that the conference laid the foundations for a good tradition at the Department, i.e. at the end of each academic year postgraduate students and degree seekers will have an opportunity to sum up their activity of the past year and present it to the scientific community.

In her report, degree seeker ArmineDallakyan referred to the role and activity of a modernelementary school teacher, underlining that the changes underway in the economic, political and scientific spheres dictate the need to prepare competitive and competent students.

Degree seekers Nona Poghosyan, RuzanManukyan, GayaneYeganyan, AniAsatryan, HasmikSargsyan and postgraduate student HaykAndreasyanreferred [in their reports] to the development features of younger pupils, comparative analysis of socialization of children living in traditional and non-traditional orphanages, historical foundations of professional orientation and career guidance,  methodological competence of foreign language teachers and other issues. 

The event was attended bySrbuhiGevorgyan, Vice-Rector for Educational and Scientific Affairs, KamoVardanyan, Head of the Center for Scientific Research, Doctors of Pedagogical Sciences, Professors, as well as the supervisors of postgraduate students and degree seekers. With the help of questions and proposals, the supervisors tried to reveal the shortcomings of the dissertations in order to address them later and ensure the high level of the scientific works.
