13 April the sophomores of the Department of Military Pedagogy and Psychology of the Faculty of Psychology and Sociology of Education, in assistance with the RA MD, made a

cognitive visit to the Ijevan military unit. They got acquainted with the daily life at the military unit, the process of the military shifting, the soldiers’ routine and the military equipments.
There students associated with those on military service, dined together with their peers who made a service at the military bases and put their lives at risk every moment.
The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Sociology of Education, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Hakob Tadevosyan outlined the significance of such practical classes within the framework of the course “Military Pedagogy”.
“Our day’s higher education and educational standards require skillful, well trained specialists with affluent theoretical and practical knowledge. And so, these kinds of visits are especially meaningful for military pedagogue-psychologists,” Hakob Tadevosyan said.
Later, the students, accompanied by Colonel Ara Sargsyan, the Deputy in charge of activities undertaken with the staff of the Commander of second army troop, paid another visit to the Makaravank Medieval Monastery Complex built in X-XIII centuries; the Monastery is situated on the slope of Mt. Paytatap, 3km South-West to the village Achajur, in the region of Tavoush.
The Colonel thoroughly introduced the students with the teaching-educational processes, content and the main methods applied to those on service at the military units and during the camp meetings.
In addition, the latter expressed his hope to arrange such meetings continuously and also suggested having thematic practical classes and research work during the next visit.
