Lake Sevan turned to be the next stop for the students participating in the “Summer School” arranged by the Armenian State Pedagogical University, the University of Oulu in Finland and the Lithuanian Universities of Educational Science.
The student had an opportunity not only to see, but also to swim in Lake Sevan; having spent interesting and exciting pastime the slightly sunburnt students also visited the peninsula of the Sevan.

“We have a lot of lakes, but I liked Lake Sevan particularly. The water was nice with beautiful waves. What I liked in particular, is the monastery on the peninsula of the Sevan- the Sevanavank. Unfortunately, we don’t have mountains and such high-up churches. Today, we had a fascinating scenery opening from the peninsula,” the Finn Laura Ala-Anttila shared here impressions during the conversation with the armspu.am.
The next day the students visited the religious capital of Armenia- Mother See Holly Etchmiadzin. After the Mother See the students paid a visit to Rouben Sevak Museum and the Treasury.

On the 17th of August the Armenian Apostolic Church was celebrating one of its religious holidays- the Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother-of-God; it is more known among people as the annual blessing of grapes; on this occasion the students also had a chance to taste the blessed grapes.
“For me, the Etchmiadzin was very much like the US Kampus University; it has a lot of buildings and flowers, too. When we visited the Etchmiadzin, there were a lot of guest who seemed to me students. These are beautiful and marvelous places. I also liked your grapes, they are much more tasty than usual. I have never tasted such sweet grapes,” Diana Yusola, who came to Armenia from the University of Oulu in Finland, told us during her interview.
After the Etchmiadzin, the participants of the “Summer School” also visited the Saghmosavank.
“In the course of the project we visited a lot of churches; I liked this experience a lot as it stands for your immense belief in God. I especially liked the nature of the Saghmosavank,” the Lithuanian student Sandra Makarova mentioned to the armspu.am .
The foreign students could not leave our country without souvenirs but before shopping in the Vernisazh- the local souvenirs and flee market, the “Summer School” participants visited an entertainment centre where they enjoyed various exciting games.

“I bought three crosses from the Vernisazh; I actually found out that Armenians are very religious. I will present the crosses to my religious friends which will surely be great gifts for them,” said Indre Shadvilayte from Lithuania.
And the last venue of visit for the students was the Tsitsernakaberd – the commemorative complex dedicated to the victims of the Genocide.
“I read a lot of historical books during my school-years. Heard about the Armenian Genocide and it was very important for me to learn more information about it. And when we went to the Tsitsernakaberd, I cannot describe the feelings that cloaked me; the commemorative tombs, the eternal fire –all these even made me cry,” the Lithuanian student Rua Milalonite shared her feelings during the interview to the armspu.am

And last but not least, the “Summer School” participants are going to visit Tsaghkadzor today, summing up with a farewell soiree arranged for them. The RA Minister of Education and Science Mr. Armen Ashotyan, the ASPU Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan and the Head of Armenian Youth Foundation, the NA Deputy Karen Avagyan will also be present at the soiree during which the students will perform music and dances from the RA, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Finland and Lithuania.
