KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The students of the Armenian State Pedagogical University, on the initiative of the University’s Student Council and the Youth Organization of the Armenian Republican Party, celebrated the 23rd RA Independence anniversary at the Military Institute after the national hero, Commander Vazgen Sargsyan on 21 September   

The RA NA Deputy, the Coordinator of the Council of Trustees of the Armenian youth Foundation Mr Karen Sargsyan congratulated those present on the Independence Day and noticed that the young people’s visits to the Military unit after Vazgen Sargsyan had become regular. 

“During the twenty-three years of independence a new generation grew up for whom being free and independent is already a lifestyle; independence has no alternatives, it is also obliging and needs to strengthen and support every second and every day”, the Head of the ARP Youth Foundation mentioned adding the following, “Independence is the result of our unity, fair struggle and healthy progress endeavours. It is also a lesson, evidence that great success may be achieved only due to unification.”

In his turn, the President of the ASPU Student Council Mr. Nersik Margaryan also highlighted the organization of such events mentioning that they are contributing to students’ patriotic and military education, and on this occasion whished our country freedom and peace furthermore.

And last but not least, during the event the ASPU students performed a concert programme, while the soldiers who are almost the same age as our independence, were awarded diplomas, medals and expensive souvenirs for their fair service and exemplary behaviour.
