ASPU Professor at the Fifth Armenia- Diaspora Conference

The ASPU Head of Department of Armenian Modern and New Literature and its Teaching Methods, the Director of the Academic Centre “Spyurq” Mr. Souren Danielyan participated in the Fifth Armenia-Diaspora Conference from 19-20 September. 

 

During the conference session headed “Armenia-Diaspora partnership current problems and perspectives” the Professor referred in his report to the training courses organized by the Centre from 2000 onwards, mentioning that as a matter of fact they did not serve  the purpose as a result of which schools were being closed down in the Diaspora.
 
For the effectiveness of Armenia –Diaspora conference Mr. Souren Danielyan suggested searching for solutions to save the Western-Armenian language by opening daily schools.
“It’s a pity that the issue of protection of Western –Armenian cultural education is not raised in the conference; we have committed an unforgivable mistake in the matter of protecting Western –Armenian language”, mentioned Professor Danielyan highlighting that political, state and educational figures must have forgotten that the Western-Armenian literary-cultural field is a strategic field, moreover the essential component and continuation of the Armenian trial.
