Today, the Pedagogical University welcomed the historian, orientalist, the RA NAS Associate Member, Professor Nicolay Hovhannisyan.
The Professor had a meeting with the Rector of the University Mr. Rouben Mirzakhanyan; among those present at the meeting also were the Vice Rector of Staff and International Cooperation Mr. Ara Yeremyan and the Head of Educational and Methodology Department, Vice Rector Mher Melik-Bakhshyan.
Mr. Nicolay Hovhannisyan expressed his evident admiration and surprise about the changes implemented at the University in the recent years and presented the University with a variety of his authored books in order to more effectively organize the educational processes.
“The Pedagogical University has always been a unique forge for me; I am deeply assured that it has an important and special mission; in all times students from regions studied here. Finally it is with the dissemination of intelligence and enlightenment in the regions of Armenia that the overall development and progress of our country is conditioned”, Mr. Nicolay Hovhannisyan mentioned.
Furthermore, during the meeting the Rector of the Pedagogical University introduced the guest with the achievements of the University, its changes, the cooperation processes with international universities, as well as informed that in the current year the Pedagogical held a summer camp; afterwards, the Rector discussed about the upcoming significant undertakings.
Likewise, Mr. Rouben Mirzakhanyan also made a practical suggestion; he urged the RA NAS Associate Member, Professor Nicolay Hovhannisyan to deliver special lectures for MA students of history and law in the second semester.
At the end of the meeting the Professor also visited the museum of the University which gave more complete impressions about the 90 years old University to the guest.
