The coordinators of the project at the University are the Dean of the Faculty of Primary Education Ms. Heghinei Khachatryan and the Head of International Cooperation Department Ms. Christina Tsaturyan.

Within this context, around 15 lecturers and students of the Pedagogical participated in trainings held from 22 September- 14 October; in fact, today, the participants received certificates from the ASPU Vice-Rector Mr. Ara Yeremyan.

In the course of the trainings the following topics were discussed- “Ensuring the educational requirements of students with special learning difficulties”, “Autism/ social, emotional and behavioral difficulties”, “Physical and sensual difficulties”, together with homework discussions, group-work presentations, as well as hosting guests with special needs, and discussions of various topics. The overloaded schedule and conducting the courses was ensured to the lecturers of the Faculty of Special Education Ms. Zarouhi Haroutyunyan and Ms. Lilit Karapetyan.

The latter emphasized the importance of organizing the programme at the University and observed that the training would improve public awareness, public acceptance of persons with special needs, and ensuring education about the rights and teaching methods of persons with special needs.

One of the participants of the programme, the ASPU lecturer of the Faculty of History and Law Mr. Hayk Grigoryan considers the training a novelty; moreover, the historian is assured that thanks to the skills acquired within the scope of technical resources and training courses it will become possible to reach the desired result; as for how effective it will be, time only will show.
