Our capital city, which is older than Rome for 29 years, was celebrating its 2796 anniversary with great festivity; the ASPU high-school college did not stay implicated in celebrations of the capital.
On this occasion, the eleventh grade students of the Journalism flow of the ASPU High-School College initiated a school competition. For around two continuous weeks the college students were struggling to win in the “Best Composition”, “Best Photo”, “Best Wallpaper” nominations.

A few days ago the announced school competition was finished, and the results and names of the winners were announced during the award ceremony on 17 October.
It was rather difficult to make a selection in the large number of students; a lot of them presented their competing photos, wallpapers and compositions.
With a slight difference of one vote in the nomination “Bes Wallpaper” Alen Hovikimyan won the first prize, followed by the student of 12th grade natural sciences-mathematical flow and the 11th grade psychology student of humanitarian flow.
Likewise, it was not an easy decision for the members of jury to select the winners of the “Best photo”, nevertheless, the first prize went to Julli Ghalayan’s photo, the second prize went to Mery Hayrapetyan, and the third- to Hrach Adibekyan’s work.
However, the hardest selection of the competition seems to be that in the nomination of the “best Composition”; each student interpreted the title of the composition in a unique way and that made the choice more difficult.
After long discussions, the first prize went to Marine Asiryan, the following prizes went to Narek Nadaryan and Nvard Doudoukchyan.
Among those present at the award ceremony organized by the initiative of the 11th grade students of the Journalism flow were pupils, teachers, Pedagogical University students passing their internship at the ASPU college, as well as parents and other guests.
During the event a performance dedicated to the history of establishment of Yerevan was presented, accompanied by dance and musical performances prepared by the pupils. The organizers, the winners received diplomas and presents from the directorate of the college.
