The international virtual forum “Socio-Cultural and Linguistic Aspects in Educational and Scientific Context” took place at Kyoto Sangyo University in Japan in September 2014.
The organizer of the international forum is Svetlana Minasyan, Professor of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of History and Theory of Pedagogy, Armenian State Pedagogical University.
Participating in the international forum from the ASPU were Professor Laura Asatryan, Head of the Department of History and Theory of Pedagogy, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, and Professor Aida Topuzyan, Head of the Department of Professional Education and Applied Pedagogy, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences.

The forum brought together 155 participants from 27 countries, including linguists, methodologists, culturologists and educators, whose aim was to identify and analyze the problems existing in the humanitarian field, ways of enhancing the effectiveness of international cooperation, culture of communication in real and virtual environments, as well as integration of scientific and pedagogical potential in the innovative intercultural education and research environment.
The participants were involved in informal academic-related activities; they discussed, debated and commented on the problems existing in the education and science sectors.
The International Coordinating Council and independent experts from Russia, the United States and Europe highly appreciated the academic level of the international forum.
The materials and articles of the international forum “Socio-Cultural and Linguistic Aspects in Educational and Scientific Context” can be found in the scientific journal ACTA HUMANISTICA ET SCIENTIFICA UNIVERSITATIS SANGIO KYOTIENSIS. They will help researchers, university lecturers and professors, postgraduate students and applicants find answers to a number of issues when conducting research.
