Within the scope of the International “Tango” Festival in Yerevan, the Pedagogical University hosted the “Kadance” ensemble today.
Exceptional, exclusive and unique in its composition; this is how the Director of the ASPU Cultural Centre Arkadi Shekunts presented the ensemble, activities and the members of the musical band, noticing that during the ten years of its activities the “Kadance” ensemble managed to deserve the love of both Armenian and foreign audience.
““Kadance” ensemble was founded in 2004 by five Armenian musicians pursuing the aim to perform the compositions of the Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla. In the course of time it expanded its performance scope including European, American, Russian and Armenian classical, modern composers masterpieces at the same time staying true to the musical art of Piazzolla,” added Arkadi Shekunts.
In addition, the professor congratulated the ensemble on its tenth anniversary highlighting that the “Kadance” has a large geography holding performance tours in different countries of the world and for already the second time at the Pedagogical University.
Astor Piazzolla, Richard Galliano, Stanley Mayer, Aram Khachaturaian, Sayat-Nova, Komitas- for about an hour “Kadance” continuously performed the masterpieces of Argentinian, European, and Armenian classical composers.
Upon the end of the event the Vice-Rector Ara Yeremyan granted the Pedagogical University” medal to “Kadance” in the name of the Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan.
The producer of the ensemble Nika Babayan presented the University with the latest CD and the book published by “Kadance”.
