KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Today,the opening ceremony of the “Nairy” engineering laboratory was held at the Armenian State Pedagogical University.

Аt present, the ASPU Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics provides courses on Automatization of Technological Processes and Robotics, Fundamentals of Schools Robotics and Project Managements Machines, the practical laboratory classes of which will be from now on held at the newly opened laboratory.

People, who will later on teach fundamentals of engineering and robotics and run extracurricular clubs at the schools of Armenia andArtsakh, will be trained at this laboratory; at the same time the laboratory will become a modern centre for developing new programmes and drafting methodological guidelines. 

“Currently numerous perspective projects are generated within the scope of our strategy; projects that are also aimed at innovative infrastructures, establishment and development of research, educational centres, laboratories. In this meaning, we are giving importance to the opening of this laboratory at the ASPU,” the Executive Director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises mentioned today.

The ASPU Vice –Rector Mher Melick-Bakhshyan in his turn, highlighted the importance of the initiative and the existence of the auditorium equipped with the latest facilities at the University, and assured that everything was done for students.

“Currently the Department of Machine Science, Common Technical subject and their teaching methodology is preparing specialists in six directions who can have serious opportunities in the labour market.  The specialisation in “Technology and Enterprises” strongly differs with its orientation and has several specifications; thanks to the new equipment the students will be able to carry out a digital software control of machinery, and more activities with robotics and robot machines,” the Head of Division Mr. Artak Sahradyan mentioned.

In fact, the latter is sure that the existence of a quality education, science and industry is based on a good school; moreover, technologist –teachers have a great role in developing future engineering human resources and by deciding on their professional orientation, they will contribute to the progress and upraise of industry in the country.

In addition, the Director of the “Mentor Graphics” Ms. Irina Doumanyan is also sure that the creation of the laboratory will give an opportunity to prepare highly qualified specialists at the Pedagogical University who will later on work in various units  within the framework of “ArmRobotics”, and will teach in schools ofArmenia.

“This is the basis of the initiative that is implemented by our organization. It aims to create such an educational platform where the universities and industries will be cooperating,” stated the Chairman of the “Nairi” Company Ms. Sona Hovhannisyan and added that a creative nature exists in everybody, they should only follow up with the world development trends as well as not stay aback from the  technological progress.

As a matter of fact, the freshmen of the ASPU Department of Technology and Enterprise Aram Karapetyan confesses that before starting the university he could not event imagine that one day he will take his professional courses in such a technically over-equipped laboratory.

Likewise, the future technologist confesses that day by day the exciting student life is becoming more attractive and practical.
