Today, a three-day republican conference headed “Informatics and education” has been launched at the Pedagogical University on the initiative of the Department of Informatics and its teaching methods.
The ASPU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ms. Srbouhi Gevorgyan emphasized the role of information technologies in everybody’s life mentioning that the involvement of IT into the field of education implies the knowledge of new teaching methods, knowledge of new languages, solution of a number of psychological problems, which are considered to be global processes.
The Vice-Rector outlined the importance of rapid development of information technologies from the perspective of teaching content, various issues of language understanding, as well as from the perspective communication functions and assured that the topics of the conference reports refer not only to informatics, but also to psychology and pedagogy issues,therewith setting the basis for trainings.
What is more, during the conference, the participants delivered reports about the existing issues of the sphere, as well as presented the role of informatics in teaching different subjects.
We would also like to mention that among those participating in the conference were lecturers from different universities, school teachers, MA students, who discussed in their reports the role of information technologies and its significance in teaching and developing a person, the plan for electronic workbooks at elementary school, as well as analyzing the informatics teaching experience, success, problems and challenges.
