“I was born as a painter on 2 December 1949”, this is how the Director of Armenian National Gallery, the ASPU Head of the Department of Fine Art, People’s Artist Paravon Mirzoyan, whose personal exhibition was opened at the Armenian National Gallery today, wrote in his self-biography.
During the exhibition the artist displayed more than 120 works written within 50 years including landscapes, portraits, still life, thematic compositions, works in pastel, anddiagram dedicated to his homeland.
The painter is pleased with the education he had received; his professional school – the Russian Fine Arts Academy after I. Repin in Saint –Petersburg first of all gave him the freedom to create.
“I have always been inspired by my environment- nature, friends, women- all that is created with divine power but I am deeply assured that a painter cannot create without studying philosophy, history, poetry and world art.
Speaking about educating future painters-pedagogues at the ASPU, Paravon Mirzoyan assured that he worked with students and tried to pass to them all that he could and was happy to notice good painters among the young people.
Among those present at the exhibition were the RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, the RF Ambassador in RA Ivan Volinkin, the ASPU Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan, as well as the friends and art loving society.
In his turn, the Rector of the Pedagogical University Rouben Mirzakhanyan described Paravon Mirzoyan’s paintings as a world clear from the first site but having an immense philosophy in its depth.
“When entering his art studio one changes his mood and finds himself in the world of dreams, in the world of Paravon Mirzoyan, observes the most beautiful and perfect with his eyes.
“Each and every artist varies not only with its creations but also with the glance he has at the next day. Paravon Mirzoyan himself is entirely conscience, sometimes he may be very frontal and quite straightforward; such people are very few in our days,” this is how the writer, translator Hovik Hoveyan introduced the painter adding that he created rainbow works with few colours and shades philosophy.
Likewise, the ASPU Dean of the Faculty of Department of Art Education Sargis Elbakyan is also impressed; for him the pieces Paravon Mirzoyan wrote in the 21st century are like the powerful waves impinging here and there. Moreover, the Dean of the Faculty is sure that every single piece of knowledge of the artist is a great value for the future painters-pedagogues.
