Today, the regular meeting on “Politological hearings” organized by the initiative of the Pedagogical University’s Department of Politology and History of Law was dedicated to the Armenian-Russian agreement signed this day in 1920, the Armenian- Turkish agreement of Alexandrapolof 3 December and Russia’s assignment about/towards Armenia.
Professor LevonShirinyan introduced the nature of the agreement highlighting that Russia did not fulfill its commitment to make Igdir, Sourmalou, currently Nakhijevan, Kars and a part of Javakhck the states of Yerevan; as a result, the whole poison and false propaganda was poured onto those who created the republic.
“It is necessary to adjust the fraud; many years have passed since the independence but the generations are still learning the Bolsheviks’ lies; we must establish our homeland not on false grounds but on clear ideological-political basis,” the professor mentioned adding that those who fought with Russians and Turks against our motherland are still presented as heroes and the devotees who did not sign the abovementioned contract are considered traitors.

What is more, the Politologist also highlights the importance of holding such hearings for the future pedagogues particularly from the perspective of having a non-falsified and objective knowledge assuring that they should be guided by the national and not the foreign interests.
And once again, LevonShirinyan pointed out that today, just like in the 1920s, Armenia finds itself at the junction and many nations make the use of it.
“We should not get disappointed; we should struggle instead starting from the auditorium and the school; if a knowledgeable teacher enters a school the country will never surrender”.

In his turn, the Dean of the Faculty of History and Law Mr. EdickGevorgyan also considered Armenian- Turkish agreement of Alexandrapol of 3 December ill-fated for the Armenian nation with heavy consequences thereon, seeing it asthe result of the Bolshevik- Kemalist cooperation.
And last but not least, the Dean of the Faculty highly praised LevonShirinyan’s politological analysis of the agreement observing that it would not be possible to gain lessons from the history and to turn back the wheel of history.
