Today, the amateur choir formed by the members from the Faculty of Primary Education Department of Pedagogy and Education (Elementary Education with Russian Language Courses), Department of Pedagogy and Methodology (Pre-school Education) and Department of Pedagogy and Psychology (Preschool), summarized the results of the three years’ work.
During the reviewed concert that has already become a tradition the choir presented the teaching –professorial team with their achievements within tight deadlines- the wide-known and already favorite classical and children songs in Armenian and Russian languages with close to professional singing.
Pure singing- this is how the conductor of the choir, the Associate Professor of Preschool Pedagogy and Methodology Mr. Vachagan Navasardyan evaluated the choir reminding that there are no people without an ear for the music, it is simply important to work with people and to develop their abilities.
The latter also expressed his hope that the subject should be taught in higher courses for a better development of the students’ ear for music and aesthetic education.
In his turn the Head of the Department of Pre-school Pedagogy and Methodology Ms. Svetlana Maroutyan considered the review concert a success.
“On this occasion the maestro showed an interesting approach involving students from Armenian and Russian language courses. This is not mere singing but an emotional explosion where the cooperation won. The list of songs was difficult and abundant as usual but this was overcome first of all thanks to dedication and hard work of maestro and the accompagnatrice Ms. Karinei VIrabyan.”
In addition the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Primary Education Ms. Lusinei Poghosyan observed that as future pedagogues, the students acquired the skills of listening to one another, adjusting the voice , working together and other skills in a month which can be later on used during the pedagogical activities, as for the student of Russian courses, they make the learning process easier by singing.
And last but not least, the student of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology (Preschool) Miss Melinei Alikhanyan confesses that she always considered herself to be far from music, never mastered the musical alphabet, moreover, and thought it irrelevant to speak about musical skills. And now, month later the hard work and willingness gave the desired results, and today’s review concert serves as a proof of the progress they have made.
