ASPU students are nominal scholarship winners

A few days ago the results of the nominal scholarship competition for honour students of the Higher-educational establishments of the RA were announced; the competition was organized by the RA Ministry of Education and Science.

Five students from the Pedagogical University participated in the following spheres of the competition: Natural Sciences including Mathematical –Information and Communication technologies (ICT), Medicine, Humanities, Social sciences, Architecture and Agriculture, Culture and Sport, and Armenian studies. 

 

The student of the Faculty of Art Education Nairi Balabekyan participated in the sphere of Culture and Sport and won the second prize; the student of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography Kalipse Yeghoyan  participated in the sphere of Natural Sciences and held the second place, likewise the students of the Faculty of Special Education Ani Hakobyan and Sona Navasardyan won the second and the third prizes correspondingly, the student of the Philological Faculty student Hasmik Hovsepyan won the third prize in the sphere of Armenian studies.

 

 

We would also like to mention that in accordance with the special procedure the competition was held in several phases, and the assessment criteriafor the committee appointed by the RA Minister of Education and Science were considered academic progress, scientific works, public activity and professional achievements.

 

Overall, student on their second to fourth years at the RA State Universities participated in the BA academic programme, and students having finished the first semester of their first postgraduate year participated in the MA academic programme. The assessment was carried out by the assessment scale of 3-10 points. Thirty-eight students won in the competition, fourteen of which won the first prize, thirteen students held the second and twelve students held the third places. The winners of the first prize were awarded 440.000AMD, the winners of the second prize received 270.000AMD, and the winners of the third prize received 220.000AMD.
