11.02.2015

“Your works themselves are the manifestation of love and artfulness of seeing the beauty; continue to love,” the Head of the ASPU Department of Fine Arts Mr. Paravon Mirzoyan mentioned at the exhibition –contest headed “The Power of Love is Invincible” that was launched at the Pedagogical University today.

The professor considered the exhibition –contest organized within the scope of the exhibition dedicated to the General S.Sargis with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan, Primate of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese on the threshold of the Holiday of Love, truly meaningful observing that each and every work depicted the young men’sindividual way of thinking and perception of love.

The exhibition presented the works of all current students of the Faculty of Art Education in a number of nominations such as painting, graphics, computer design, sculpture, decorative and applied art. The committee chose 47 works on the exhibition out of 70. As a result, the authors of the best ten works will receive monetary awards, as well as they will participate in the Barekendan celebration at the Caskade complex on 15 February.

“Love and harmony must lie in the basis of a piece of art. Each of you continues the work of the God as a creator by inserting love and beauty in all that has been created,” mentioned the Parish Priest Father Nshan Alaverdyan of the APD St. Mary Church of Nor Norq and passed the blessing, appraisal and love of His Eminence Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan, Primate of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese.

What is more, Father Nshan Alaverdyan assured that those who love and perceive beauty must also acknowledge and know the criteria of the divine love and be the interpreters of love through their creation.

The first year MA student of the Department of Applied Art Rouzanna Hovhannisyan is the author of the silver necklace and the ring prepared in a three-dimensional graphics displayed at the exhibition.

The young artist, who has participated in a variety of competitions, noticed that the theme of the exhibition had doubled her desire to participate therein; eventually love is the essence of each piece of art.

“We are being inspired with one another’s works, we accept the remarks as a recommendation, correct them at the same time breaking the stereotypes that jewelry is created only by men,” Rouzanna Hovhannisyan mentioned.

In his turn, the second year MA student of the Department of Painting and Drawing Nairi Balabekyan added, “The profession of an artist needs continuous development and improvement. Despite the fact that the authors of the works displayed are still students, they also deserve the chance to participate in the exhibition and to receive prizes; this is actually, one of the best methods to encourage students.”

We would like to mention that the exhibition- contest headed “The Power of Love is Invincible” is held at the Pedagogical University with the support of the University’s Student Council.

And last but not least, soon the names of ten winners will already be announced; meanwhile, all the participants received certificates today.
