Today, the RA President of the National Assembly, the Chairman of the ASPU Council Mr. Galust Sahakyan visited the Pedagogical University.
To a greatest extent this was a cognitive meeting; the ASPU Rector Mr. Rouben Mirzakhanyan introduced the Deans from ten Faculties of the University, as well as the Heads of Academic Departments, Research Institutes, Centres and Laboratories thus, highlighting the great and quality team of the University.

In his turn, the Chairman of the ASPU Council Mr. Galust Sahakyan emphasized that it is in the environment of pedagogues where he feels most inspired, and assured that a person with a teaching mission always remains a pedagogue, despite the position he/she is holding.
“Higher education system is the driving force of a state, and the Pedagogical University is, in fact, considered to be the repository where people train and teach future generations.”

The Chairman of the ASPU Council did not consider it accidental that the Pedagogical University has at all times refrained from various intrigues; and today specialists, who have passed a long way and have a great role in the sphere of education, are working at the Pedagogical University.
Moreover, Mr. Galust Sahakyan noticed that the sphere of education should be monopole, governed by the state and undertake a self-assessment, while the society should understand the importance of education, and the pedagogues should become impregnable.
Further on, the Chairman of the APSU Council granted fifteen members of the teaching team with the RA NA Certificates for their significant contribution in the sphere of education and for voluminous research and pedagogical activities.

The Rector of the Pedagogical University Mr. Rouben Mirzakhanyan in his turn awarded Mr. Galsut Sahakayan with the “Khachatur Abovyan” gold medal, which is the oldest departmental award that has been granted to outstanding figures in the sphere of education and enlightenment.
The meeting continued with a concert programme where the guests enjoyed the dance and musical performances of the APSU students.
