The Pedagogical University continues holding “Political hearings” organized by the initiative of the Department of Political Sciences and Law.
The regular seminar discussion was held at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics; the Head of the Department of Political Sciences and Law Mr. Levon Shirinyan delivered his report on the topic “February revolution 1921 and the activities of the National Salvation Committee”.
Once again the reporter highlighted the review and checking through the hidden pages of history noticing that it is often distorted.
“Without studying the model of the first Republic, with its external political positioning, structure of the state, geographical environment, strategic factors it will be complicated to understand the position of Armenia together with its strategy today, and as for our nation, political ignorance whether to be pro-Russian or West-oriented will repeatedly be presented and inspired to them.
Moreover, as the political analyst assures, Armenia must have Armenian disposition, and it’s an absolutely other question which diplomatic ally it will choose.
In fact, Mr. Levon Shirinyan considers the February revolution of 1921 as one of the most glorious pages of Armenian history comparing it with the 28 May.
“The Armenian nation, who survived the Genocide and did not lose the outbreak of freedom, was the only nation in the Soviet Union having struggled against repression, massacre of the intellectuals from 18 February until 2 April overthrowing the government.”
And last but not least, the professor outlined the subject both from the academic and political perspectives observing that this is a good opportunity to identify the truth and to proof that the Armenian nation is libertarian.
