The world-famous scientists continue their public lectures at the Pedagogical University.

At this time, the undergraduate and postgraduate students of the University had a brilliant opportunity to attend the public lecture of the Professor of Copenhagen Aarhus University /Denmark/, the Director of the Center of Ethics and Law at the Faculty of Education, the President of the International Federation of Philosophical Societies /FISP/, Peter Kemp.
Before starting his presentation, the Professor expressed his deep gratitude for inviting him and urged those present to demonstrate practical activity after the lecture.
In his lecture headed “Towards the Global Legal Structure” the professor presented the nature of the “international relations”.
“Despite our will, we all live in “the same shabby and wrecked ship.” And if we want to play, live and exist in this world, then it is quite important to recognize a number of norms in the world system,” Peter Kemp said.
The Danish Professor also thinks that it is extremely complicated to work out humanistic rules in our days. Nevertheless, with the human solidarity, the logic of demand wins in politics and education.
“Nowadays’ commercial and economic life can stimulate the comprehension of the practical need of that kind of order,” the Professor is assured.
At the end of the lecture the participants asked very interesting questions. The “country’s citizens” wondered whether the standards of the legal order are always given, whether the myth which is being or will be created for the social life insurance is obligatory in the legal field, and finally, whether it is not useless to struggle for the universal peace if not everybody wants it.
New Methods of Assessment of Violence Risk in an Individual

Today, the Professor of Forensic Clinical Psychology of the Glasgow Caledonian University, the President of the European Association of Psychology and Law, David Cook presented his public lecture on the subject “Assessment of Violence Risk in an Individual” at the Pedagogical University.
He discussed the violence risk evaluation at prisons and different healthcare establishment in Scotland. According to his theory, with the help of potential means and individual approaches a person’s inclination towards violence can be evaluated. That kind of approach also allows evaluating the person’s ability to commit an offence.
For those who listened to the lecture, it got clear that besides the general approaches, in order to reduce the criminal risk, various psychological approaches should also be applies, such as studying the person’s biography, his discontents, physical condition, the prison agenda and its security guarantees.
During the lecture all the scientific arguments were grounded on video presentations and figures. Upon the end of the lecture, those present had a chance to ask their questions to the leading specialist of the field, David Cook.
