Pedagogical issues discussed at student conference

A student conference was organized at the ASPU at the initiative of the Department of Professional Education and Applied Pedagogy within the framework of events commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

 

In their reports, graduate students of the Faculty of Primary Education referred to the problems in modern schools, emphasized the role of social and cultural environment in person's upbringing and development, and stressed the possible measures for increasing the effectiveness of social and pedagogical activities in the education sector.

 

 

The students also dwelt on the unfavourable conditions for adolescent socialization in urban and rural communities, the existing problems and the specifics of the work carried out with adolescent population.

 

Aida Topuzyan, Head of the Department of Professional Education and Applied Pedagogy, stressed the importance of the conference and once again urged pedagogues to understand, accept and apply the principles of their profession. 

 

 

Armine Dallakyan, one of the organizers of the conference, also highlighted the conference in terms of shaping students’ pedagogical skills and abilities.

 

At the end of the conference, the attendees asked reporters their questions and made proposals. This was followed by a heated discussion.
