Graduate Diplomas for Distant –Learning Postgraduates

Today, the Faculty of Primary Education, Department of Pedagogy and Methodology (elementary education) awarded graduate diplomas to 58 distant-learning students.

 

“Even though, there is no excellent student, the majority of them demonstrated good academic progress; I am assured that in the process of practical work they will improve the professional skills they obtained within the two and a half years and will have better results in future,” the Dean of the Faculty HeghineiKhachatryan mentioned in her interview to the old.aspu.am.

 

 

The latter also noticed that the changes in the postgraduate distant learning system were carried out in favour of students; a number of new selective courses have opened, new information technologies have been introduced, education has become student-centred, as well as the MA courses have been replenished with leading specialists in the sphere.

 

“MA studies ensure the development of research abilities, training creative teachers, passing to the next level of education. Besides, the internship hours are also increased, and the cooperation between the ASPU and School N57 practically contributes to the fulfilment of postgraduate theses.”

 

The fact that annually the ASPU changes the MA courses and requirements, was also confirmed by the Vice-Rector SrbouhiGevorgyan who was also present at the certificate awards ceremony; likewise, she expressed her hope that certain competences, social disposition towards pedagogical activities and realization of the mission of becoming a teacher at primary school have been acquired in the process of formation of professional identity.

 

“You have been entrusted with a milestone age when a person’s further self- establishment and professional development and civil identityis determined”. 

 

 

The Director of the Research Center KamoVardanyan is assured that there is a rigid image of a teacher within any person which remains in memory.

 

This memorable day is a festive occasion for LuizaGhazaryan, the distant-learning postgraduate student of the Department of Pedagogy and Methodology (elementary education); the importance of the day is emphasized by the symbolic gown of the postgraduates. During the seven and a half years of studiesthey have developed their abilities of conducting research activities, which they are applying it in one of primary schools of Yerevan today.

 

In her turn the form master of the School N125 after SmbatByurat Ms. Liana Grigoryan highlights the importance of postgraduate studies and observes that it is a complex education needed particularly at elementary schools.

 

The event was summed up with the final congratulations from the Head of Department of Armenian Language and its Teaching Methods after AshotTer-Grigoryan.

 

“You are MesropMashtots’new alumni who must keep our native Armenian language alive and vivid at schools and pass the magnificence of Armenian language to the following generations” he added.
