A few days ago, the Faculty of Psychology and Sociology welcomed the 9th grade students of the Yerevan secondary school N129 after Gayi; the visit aimed at finding the answer to the question “what profession to choose?”
The guests were greeted by the Dean of the Faculty RouzannaPetrosyan, the Deputy Deans LidaAramyan and SonaMakichyan. Within the scope of the visit the students got familiarized with the structure of the Faculty, and attended the lesson of “Psychological Research Methodology”.
The Head of the Department of Development and Applied Psychology, Professor SamvelKhoudoyan introduced the students with the characteristic features and advantages of psychological education.
What is more, the guests also visited the crisis psychology research laboratory which is a true revelation for a student having chosen the profession of a rescuer.
In his turn, the Professor Yuri Gasparyan presented to the students the sociology and psychologysciences, social activitiesresearch patterns; later on Professor MelsMkrtoumyan involved those present in an active process of psychological exercises. Next in turn, Professor Vladimir Karapetyan spoke about the modern problems of pedagogical psychology highlighting the specialization of a pedagogue –psychologist.
The meeting was wrapped-up at the Pedagogical University’s museum thus completing the students’ thematic plan on the subject “Armenian Literature”.
