KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

A few days ago the teaching staff and students of the Faculty of Psychology and Sociology welcomed the French psychoanalyst Patrick Cauvenne. In fact this is the latter’s second visit of the University. 

The initiator of the meeting is the Associate Professor of the Department of Development and Applied Psychology, President of Armenian Association of Psychoanalysts Angela Vardanyan.

Such lectures bring the Faculty’s academic staff and especially the students closer to the leading international experience in the field of psychoanalysis.

On this occasion, the subject of the discussion is the peculiarities of being a parent in our days starting from early childhood up till adolescence, new methods of parental education. The field experts and students got acquainted with the problem on the basis of analysis of particular clinical examples.

The lecture was concluded with a Question&Answer session.

Those present expressed acknowledgements to Patrick Cauvenne for interesting discussions expressing interest in having such meetings on a regular basis.
