Armenian State Pedagogical University today hosted pupils of High School N127 after Levon Arisyan led by class teacher Karine Charchyan. The guests watched a film about the University, walked around the Faculty of History and Law and visited the University’s Museum and Academic Library.
The future students were welcomed by Edgar Hovhannisyan, Dean of the Faculty of History and Law, Samvel Poghosyan, Deputy Dean for Science and Postgraduate Studies, and Ashot Piliposyan, Head of the Department of Armenian History.
The dean expressed hope that the visit would serve as ‘career guidance’ for the pupils and presented the advantages and benefits of studying at the ASPU. Those included strengthening of international relations, the use of new technologies at lessons, well-equipped and updated libraries, which, he said, offer an unprecedented opportunity for studies.
“There are not good or bad, important and unimportant professions. It is more important to choose the right profession so that you will not be forced to go to studies every morning,” Head of the Department of Armenian History Ashot Piliposyan said in his welcoming remarks. He promised them to provide meaningful and interesting internship if they chose the profession of a historian.
Samvel Poghosyan, Deputy Dean for Science and Postgraduate Studies, presented the structure of the Faculty of History and Law, its teaching staff, the rules, regulations and strategy of the University, once again reminding that historian's profession offers a wide range of career opportunities.
The visit of the pupils of High School N127 after Levon Arisyan was organized by the Center for University-Employer Cooperation, Faculty of History and Law and Methodological Center for Professional Orientation.
