Discussions about the National Education Excellence Programme

Today, the Pedagogical University welcomed the President of the Trustees Council of the “Ayb” foundation priest MesropAramyan, who was here within the framework of the National Education Excellence Programme to present the University’sfaculty and student about the gist of the programme and its implementation methods.

 

In the implementation of the programme priest MesropAramyan emphasized the public discussions phase giving the opportunity to get familiarized with the details of the programme and to participate in its modification.

 

 

When introducing the programme the Priest similarly highlighted the cooperation with the University of Cambridge and London Institute of Education at the same time implementing the national best practice and traditions.

 

 

“This is a programme with a national spirit, values and mission, and international with standardsonly”

 

The programme responsible persons are assured that with the involvement of national power valuable education should be provided to the nation starting with the main concept of the programme- educating and training teachers.

 

“We would like to raise the prestige of teachers in the society and to make it an attractive profession among young people starting with its material status,” mentioned priest Aramyan assuring that the programme, synthesized from educational systems of leading countries, is a result of five years’ work that has been piloted in a certain environment; the results we received were amazing.”

 

 

In addition, to the question “Who masters education?” the representatives answer that the society does, and call for each and everybody to realize the responsibility, otherwise the sector will be neglected.

 

Moreover, priest Aramyan recommendsthat the Pedagogical University’s faculty support teachers’ training initiatives and make suggestions.
