Today, the Department of Painting and Graphic Design of the Faculty of Arts Education organized an exhibition of graphical and sculptural works which depicted Armenian lifestyle; the

exhibition was held at the Faculty Hall and was an accountable one as the displayed works were presented by the 4th year BA and 2nd year MA students.
As a matter of fact, this kind of exhibition of graphic works was arranged for the first time.
“This is a very important occasion for us as we are making the first steps by presenting such an exhibition,”, the 2nd year MA student of the Department of Painting and Graphic Design Hripsime Poghosyan said.
The Acting Dean of the same Faculty, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Artashes Qeshisyan considered this exhibition as an indivisible part and also added that the current art students could also get professional lessons from the exhibition.
“Each student depicted his/her inner-world through the works exhibited. In fact, there are almost no perfect works in the field of paintings; still, the defects are almost reduced to the minimum in the exhibition,” the organizer of the exhibition Artashes Qeshishyan put in.
The latter also expressed his hope that such an exhibition of the graphical works organized for the first time would somehow stimulate to display it in other galleries, as well.
In addition, the member of the Artists Union, Master of Sculpture at the Faculty of Arts Education, Armen Araqelyan gives a twofold meaning to this exhibition.
“Observing these kinds of works has a great practical meaning both for students, and for the exhibitors; it is a good occasion to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and experience obtained during their studies.”
More to the point, Doctor of Arts, Professor Hravard Hakobyan outlined the significance of the exhibition from pedagogical point of view, as the students were going to continue those works of immense practical importance also at school.
The Chancellor of the University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Rouben Mirzakhanyan, the teaching-professorial team and students were all present at the exhibition.
