Today, the Faculty of Philology was ‘full of books.’ Over 50 books, including scholarly, educational and research manuals, published by the Faculty’s teaching staff in the last five years were put on display at the Faculty.
The initiative was aimed at familiarizing students with the books and their authors.
“Science in Armenia is developing in two directions, in academic institutes and universities. Many professor-scholars have lectured at the Faculty of Philology bringing fame and popularity to the University. Each of their books has been a pillar of Armenian Language and Literature,” said the Dean of the Faculty Yuri Davtyan.

The dean assured the presentees that many lecturer-scholars are working in the Faculty today who are the authors of numerous valuable books. In this context, he particularly emphasized the pedagogical efforts of the lecturers and heads of Departments.
The students were pleasantly surprised and excited to know that they are taught by specialists who have written numerous books. The future philologists are unanimous that many of the books will become their indispensable companions as professional manuals.
